That APPRECIATION
My first job was in a restaurant. I was 13 years old. My mother and Grandmother worked in restaurants my whole life, so I spent a good amount of time in them. I had always known it wasn't for me. Although I spent years and years going from one restaurant to another, thinking it was going to maybe be better. The one thing I have to say Im grateful for through everything, is my opportunity to see all different types of people. Learning how to deal with different personalities. And not taking everything so personal. Learning to stay calm in situations when you really don't want to. How to interact with people and build relationships.
Last month, I was presented the oppertunity to work for a start up company doing record reviews. This alone, I can't even begin to express how thankful I am. I work with two people who I already feel at home with. They have been so welcoming, and I truly feel the woman I work with was put in my life at this time for a reason. I feel I am learning so much from her. They work around my schedule with Michael and school. This change in environment has changed my perspective on working. And came at the perfect time.
My baby. If there is anything to be thankful for, it is him. He is the smile on my face and the understanding of myself. This is my natural role. I thank god for blessing me with a beautiful and healthy boy. Everyday is an experience. I see myself in him and i'm constantly learning. He is unconditional love. And I'm thankful to be able to experience that feeling. To and from.

Charlene,
ReplyDeleteNice post. This is very clean and well-written. I really like the images and how you spread them on your page.
Sounds like you started with humble roots. My first job was dishwashing in a restaurant, and it taught me a lot about earning a spot, working hard no matter what, and being humble until I earn my way up.
What's the name of the record review site? I'd like to check out some of your reviews when they get published. That's exciting!
Only suggestion would be to find some time to write just a little bit more. Fill more in. Go further.
